Gaga's debut album from 2008"The Fame" received minimal radio coverage. She went on tour in Europe as well as the US to promote the album. But it was not until her 2009 smash "Just Dance" that mainstream pop music really was born. Gaga had a labral tear on her right hip that she was nursing for weeks in hopes that she would be able to carry on the tour. After a performance in Toronto left her unable to walk, and with a lot of pain the singer was taken to the hospital for surgery. the tour was postponed.
